Dr. Mohammad Abbas, MD
Dr. Mohammad Abbas, MD graduated from the esteemed Damascus University Faculty of Medicine in Syria. He then completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology before making the life-changing decision to move to the United States in 2011 to further his medical education.
At the University of New Mexico (UNM), he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow, contributing to groundbreaking cancer and neuroscience research. Following this, he completed a pre-residency fellowship in Neuro-critical Care within the Neurosurgery Department at UNM and pursued a Neurology Residency at UNM, which he successfully completed in 2021.
To enhance his expertise in chronic pain management, Dr. Abbas undertook an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at UNM’s Anesthesia Program. Upon completing his fellowship, he relocated with his family to Florida, where he now practices as an Interventional Pain Physician with Wesley Chapel Spine and Sports Medicine.
